Project
Project code: JKI-A-08-1283
Contract period: 01.08.2020
- 15.07.2026
Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment
In the above mentioned joint project the JKI-A will cover working package 3 ´Evaluation of the effectiveness of flower strips specifically designed for beneficial insect promotion´: The effectiveness of flower strips specifically designed to promote beneficial insects is assessed on individual farms by quantifying the impact on insect biodiversity and ecosystem services delivered. In the crop rotation consisting of winter wheat, sugar beet and potato, the number of pests and beneficial insects are evaluated on the field level throughout the crop season, while long-term effects on biodiversity and natural crop protection will be determined over the duration of the project. In addition, the influence of the flower strips on crop yield will be assessed.
