Within the project "Assistance system for site specific application of pesticides" an overall system was developed, in which site specific application maps for sustainable and resource-saving crop protection are planned, generated and documented by using automated integration of various web services. This assistance system, consisting of the web GIS application "AssSys - WebPortal" as an interface to the user and the "AssSys - Service", for the integration of the system into existing programs, has already been developed to beta version, tested under certain conditions and presented to the expert audience. In order to reach market maturity, the assistance system is to be tested in various applications - from automated retrieval of distance requirements to site specific application maps for direct feeding - as well as in the user groups farmer and consultant in practical use. A close support of the users in the field as well as a validation of the application maps in different natural habitats will be carried out. The individual user experiences are to be determined by questionnaires, so that qualitative statements about the operation, validity and reliability of the system as well as the integrated web services and data can be made. With the experiences of the practical test the assistance system as well as the integrated web services are to be optimized. For this purpose, the backend of the assistance system shall be prepared for a robust productive operation and the frontend of the "AssSys - WebPortal" shall be optimized based on the user experiences. In addition to the cooperation partners, different associated partners could be won for the collaboration in the project, so that a broad spectrum of users and cases of application can be served.
