Conception of agri-photovoltaic systems (KonzeptAgriPV)
Project
Project code: G2/N/21/09
Contract period: 01.05.2022
- 30.04.2023
Purpose of research: Applied research
Due to the increasing demand for renewable energies, innovative concepts for sustainable electricity production are necessary. Agri-Photovoltaics (Agri-PV) is the simultaneous use of agricultural land for crop production and electricity generation through solar energy. On land belonging to the Bavarian State Estates in Grub, one high-mounted, one tracking-mounted and one vertical-mounted system with a total of 900 kWp each will be installed. In addition, Lechwerke is building a purely vertically elevated system (750 kWp) on grassland. The planning, construction and effects of the new pilot plants are being scientifically accompanied by the TFZ, as few such plants exist to date.
