The project analyses the status quo of nutrition education (professional knowledge and counselling skills) in various health professions in the field of children and youth. On the basis of a theoretically derived and empirically verified catalogue of criteria for nutrition competence, target group- and competence-specific needs are identified using measurable target variables and corresponding measures are derived from them. To ensure the feasibility of the derived measures, the generated results are fed back to the study participants. In order to do justice to the complex structure of different requirements and target groups, and to be able to derive practice-relevant and efficient starting points for improved competence transfer and implementation, various methods are bundled in an interdisciplinary approach using an overarching theoretical framework.
