Investigation and assessment of emissions from livestock (dust, ammonia, trace gases, odorants and noise). Technical processes for emission reduction as well as recycling of resources, detection of emission factors
Project
Project code: vTI-AB-08-4
Contract period: 01.01.2001
- 31.12.2017
Purpose of research: Applied research
Gases, dust and microorganisms in and from animal husbandry are connected with various effects on health and welfare of men and animal. Furthermore emissions of airborne contaminants including noise play an important role for the authorization of stable with respect to environmental hygiene. Some of these components are part of longe range szenarios of air pollution control and must be reported and considered in national and international inventories including NEC directive. To keep the NEC limits emissions may be reduced by separation techniques Different process options are tested over longer periods to assess their reduction potential for the tested parameters, their reliability and their amount of maintenance. Apart from that their potential for the secondary trace gas production and the extent of nitrogen recycling is investigated.
