Study on Ammonia Reduction in Dairy Barns Using a Cleaning device on Slatted Floors
Project
Project code: vTI-OEL-08-DBU 26363-34
Contract period: 01.04.2009
- 31.03.2011
Purpose of research: Applied research
Aim of the study is to test the effects of a highly efficient cleaning device for slatted floors on the reduction of ammonia emissions in dairy barns. The device combines the advantages of a wet as well as a mechanical cleaning whereas the water wastage is kept as low as possible. Within the framework of the study emission values derived from common fouling of the slatted floors are determined at the experimental operation site.
