Alternative method of sampling as a benchmark for a risk-based residue testing of pigs
Project
Project code: 2810HS028
Contract period: 01.01.2011
- 30.06.2012
Budget: 91,227 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
'The aim of this project is to increase the recovery rate of antibiotic residues in pork as part of the official residue analysis by an information-based, risk-based sampling methods and thus to increase the food safety of animal food. For the detection of animal populations with a high residual risk, data on the fattening period, the use of antibiotics , for mortality and organ diagnostic reporting in the form of rate of herd health score combined and used for benchmarking of pig herds. the was made on the basis of the information distribution as defined by National residue control Plan (NRkp) samples to be collected on only the identified herds with a high residual risk is a higher '' hit rate 'lead'.
The project is divided into five sub-steps: 1 Identification of stocks with higher and lower risk of residues, 2nd Comparative sampling, 3 Review of the herd health status of the identified stocks, 4 Evaluation of the results, 5 Develop a general guide to action for official veterinarians to carry out the risk-based sampling of residue '
