Project
Project code: 11-29
Contract period: 01.12.2011
- 31.05.2015
Purpose of research: Applied research
Animal losses caused by cannibalism, feather pecking or mutual crushing, can be observed in many farms keeping laying hens. These phenomena are mainly found in the systems for barn eggs and aviaries. Further problems arise from pad diseases, sternum, and changes caused by infectious and / or parasitic diseases. The problem area is thus very complex and can therefore only be edited by a large-scale field study comprehensively and scientifically analyzed.
