Safe Food and Feed through an Integrated ToolBox for Mycotoxin Management (MyToolBox)

Purpose of research: Applied research
The individual measures will be implemented in the MyToolBox decision support e-platform, followed by the evaluation of the tool from various angles through a multi-actor approach with end users and stakeholder groups at relevant points in the food chain in different countries incl. socio-economic analysis. The cost-effectiveness of the developed intervention strategies in combination with the MyToolBox e-platform to effectively monitor and reduce the incidence of mycotoxin contaminants in crop production and in the food and feed supply chains will be verified a) for Fusarium mycotoxins in wheat in the UK; b) for aflatoxins in maize in Serbia; and c) in cooperation with the Chinese partner, for the peanut supply chain in China.
