Developing an instrument for state-wide nutrient management in Schleswig-Holstein - regional expansion of AGRUM-Plus project phase II
Project
Project code: TI-LR-08-PID395
Contract period: 01.10.2013
- 31.12.2014
Purpose of research: Applied research
Schleswig-Holstein is one of the German regions with flourishing milk production. Many farms also produce biogas. The necessary acreage for corn production has become scarce, meaning corn silage must even be partially imported from neighbouring Denmark. This exacerbates existing problems with nutrient emissions. We transferred a model approach which was developed and successfully tested for the catchment area of the river Weser to Schleswig-Holstein. What must be done in Schleswig-Holstein to solve the nutrient problem?
