Description
The German Farmers' Association e.V. and the Federal Association of German Plant Breeders e.V. launched in 1990 the Union to promote oil and protein crops e.V., briefly UFOP. Up to this time it was a unique federation structure. All of the German instituions for production, processing and marketing of oil and protein crops, and associations are gathered together in UFOP.
The UFOP was founded in this inter-professional form, because all parties took the opportunity of a new form of trust and cooperation. In recent years the UFOP realised many ideas for the optimization of agricultural production and promotion.

- Identification of odor-active compounds in sensory proper and incorrect (off-flavor) rapeseed oils and development of an Analysis method for improving the quality control
- Perspectives of farm structures, cropping patterns and production systems in Russia and the Ukraine
