Purpose of research: Applied research
The joint project is the task to examine the cultivation, harvest and storage, and processing of reeds and cattails under practical conditions and evaluate. This is in particular the biomass quality depending on Pflanzenherkünften, procedure design (cultivation, harvesting) and site conditions (water, nutrients) in the Centre of interest. Another project focuses in the field of economics. It is conducted a costing for establishment of inventory, inventory management, and harvesting and the economy rated by Paludikulturverfahren for various exploitation paths. The integration of Paludikultur into practice are knowledge transfer, portability and integration in agricultural policy and planning processes in the foreground.
