Mulch systems could make a contribution to sustainability of food by dispensing with pesticides or promoting humus formation. The OG combines the transfer and In-situ to a combined mulching process. An innovative planting machine, the MulchTec Planter, is intended to compensate for the work involved in mulch planting. The aim is to produce high-quality, regional vegetables with ecological added value at prices similar to those of common vegetables. Farms in 'non-vegetable regions' should also produce sustainable vegetables.
