Project
Project code: EIP-Agri-HE-2020-LPLTLGMPPG
Contract period: 01.01.2020
- 31.12.2022
Budget: 400,000 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
Keywords: farming practice/activity, farming equipment, plant production and horticulture, land cover type, fertilisation, soil, water, biodiversity, climate change
Agriculture has the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fix carbon through innovative farming systems and humus building. In this project, cultivation systems are combined and adapted to the climatic conditions in Hessen in order to ensure humus formation and yield stability. Multifactorial effects on the environment, climate and food production through the use of new intercropping mixtures and innovative cultivation systems will be scientifically investigated. One result is to be a practical guide for agricultural arable farms.
