Purpose of research: Networks and research co-ordination

The Food and Research in Europe (FAHRE) in a new project funded by the European Commission to enhance the cooperation in food and health and strengthen the research cooperation in Europe. 'It aims to do this by providing a comprehensive map of research funding in the European Economic Area, and identifying the key players and processes involved in research funding an policy at regional, national and transnational level’. The project will be coordinated by the Societade Portoguesa de Inovaca (Portugal) and see the participation of institutions from Latvia, Germany, Italy, Sweden, France and United Kingdom.
