Purpose of research: Applied research
The projekt is a part of a joint research project and aims at the acquisition of a comprehensive activity data set (soils, hydrology, land use) and reliable emission factors for CO2, N2O and CH4 emissions from organic soils. The research group at the vTI is measuring hydrological parameters and gas emissions at the peatland 'Großes Moor' and develops models for the nationwide regionalisation of the water balance of the dissolved organic carbon (DOC) losses from organic soils.
