Project code: vTI-AB-08-6
Contract period: 01.01.2001 - 31.12.2015
Purpose of research: Applied research

Air quality in animal husbandry is an important property for farmers and animal health and welfare. It is strongly influenced by the emission of airborne contaminants. Main components are ammonia, carbon dioxide and particles forming bio aerosols. Health related particle size must be considered which decides depth of entrance into the respiratory tract of the individuals. For an estimation of a risk potential concentration of the airborne contaminants will be measured. Air quality is evaluated by existing or discussed limit values e.g. from workers protection. Different duration of exposure is to consider.
