NeuENV addresses the protection of the crucial infrastructure food supply in the case of a crisis. The higher aim of the project is to develop new strategies of the food emergency precaution in cooperation with all relevant stakeholders: with enterprises of the food chain, political decision-makers, aid organizations and the population as an addressee of the food supply.
The central research question is: How can the continuity of food supply be guaranteed in the future even with crisis-like conditions in order to prevent a supply crisis within the food sector. Since various areas are affected by this question, there are several main focuses, which are defined in different working areas, which are self-contained but at the same time linked to each other. Taking into account the essential dimensions, action proposals and improvement suggestions are derived for all stakeholders. Additionally, training draughts (educational provider) for the stabilization of knowledge and an IT tool with the purpose of displaying the site map and exchanging information are developed.
