Field surveys about the residue load of bees (Apidae) by neonicotinoids
Project
Project code: JKI-ÖPV-08-1305
Contract period: 01.05.2013
- 28.02.2014
Purpose of research: Applied research
A comparative monitoring of wild bee diversity was carried out in rapeseed fields without (ecological) and with seed treatment (conventional). The aim is to determine the residues in/on bumble bees (Bombus terrestris) placed near the fields and in/on wild bees trapped in the experimental fields. Furthermore, from the bumblebees removed pollen (panties) and nectar (honey stomach) are analyzed to determine residues of active ingredients and their potential entry into the colonies over the feed. As far as possible, potential impacts on the development of the bumble bees colonies associated with the entry of neonicotinoid residues are investigated.
