Fate, metabolism and plant uptake of selected veterinary medicines in the rhizophere
Project
Project code: DFG FOR 566
Contract period: 01.01.2005
- 31.12.2010
Purpose of research: Basic research
The ultimate goal of our project is to generate data on the fate and behavior of two antibiotics and their metabolites in the rhizosphere of plants after application of manure onto soil. In a micro ecosystem we will monitor the fate and metabolism of the drugs by collecting pore water from the rhizosphere at high spatial and temporal resolution by using micro suction cups. In addition we want to collect data on the uptake of veterinary medicines from soils into plants. The ultimate goal of our project is to generate data on the fate and behavior of two antibiotics and their metabolites in the rhizosphere of plants after application of manure onto soil.
