In the innovation project 'Sustainable haulm control', the development of new solutions for haulm control is addressed to make potato cultivation in Germany and especially in Hesse sustainable under the changed agronomic and political conditions. The planned project pursues the goal of showing alternative ways to chemical standard siccation by means of Deiquat through the comparative investigation of several process technologies for haulm control.
